Did my one round trip for the Walmart DC. And had to go thru some of the heaviest snow I have seen all season coming back from Pueblo, empty of course. At points I was down to 25-30 mph. Made it thru all that, then in central Denver the roads were just wet. Between Denver and Johnsons Corners the roads dried out and it was clear sailing all the way back to the DC. I finally got back to the hotel around 4 am, almost 24 hours since I last had my head on a pillow.

Even though I was sleep deprived, breakdown said we needed to get with the dealership first thing and if it was still the same issue, then we have to get with fleets and get me into another truck, so I got up and talked to someone else at the dealership (I think he was higher up the management food chain)...he was baffled at why they were waiting so long for Freightliner Corporate for a clutch hydraulic issue, his words were ''it's not that complicated of a system", so he was gonna delve into the issue and see why more diagnostics weren't done. Then I called Deland with my morning update and once I said that I understood that breakdown pay stopped when I agreed to work the DC, he said call breakdown and get a room for the weekend. Funny, everyone you talk to when it comes to breakdowns all use the exact same phrase "we just want to keep you moving and making money", what they don't say, is, making money for who...we all know the answer to that question.

Putting driver in another truck... "to keep driver moving "....is another way of saying...our shops aren't worth a #### ....and can't repair or service..in a timely manner..due to piss poor mechanics and company management

After I staight out told the Walmart office to NOT put me on any more loads, that I was done with this dedicated crap, they preplanned me on not one, but two loads back to back, and I am in a daycab. It seems that the only way to get thru to them is to be a total ###hole. I can't wait to get out of this godforsaken state.

Your ordeal has me wondering if I should reevaluate a job that stays below I40. Winter should never show its ugly head in May, it's just not the civil thing to do.

Yeah, I hear that. I lived on 180/190/194 for the past couple of years. I actually like Wyoming quite a bit and many times considered buying there, but don't like it for driving a CMV back and forth through ;)

Before all the Chicago Volvo gang started flooding that hwy, Wyoming was not bad to drive through even during winter..but now with those and the other morons, highway patrol just shuts the highways down because they’re sick of destruction derby

Yeah I always tried running over night/early AM to avoid the herd. The roads are harder to read and a worse in the early hour but you can drive without a dumb ### on your tail or a group of clowns going too slow or too fast.

Some people grab a gun and shoot up the office when they flip their lids. Others pole vault the tandem out from under the trailer.

That particular idiot should go to jail, IMHO.
