Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

Your truck got too close to mine and caught it's breakdown virus.

 

I spoke to Freightliner this morning. New master cylinder is being next day'd and will be here in the morning. Whomever runs the weekend shop started doing what should have been done all along. Hopefully this nightmare will over soon.

Had a brief squall of snow come thru this morning. No accumulation, but Google Maps showed 80 between here and Laramie orange and red, so the higher elevations might have gotten some.

 

Talked to breakdown before checking out today, and they called the dealer to check on the truck. The dealer said the truck was in the shop and we would know this evening or in the morning if the master cylinder fixed the issue. So breakdown didn't want to chance waiting until the last minute to keep my room, so they gave me a room one more night.

 

Called the dealer this morning...they received the wrong part yesterday, so they tried to rebuild the master cylinder...and it didn't work, so they re-ordered the correct part. Should be here by lunch. I feel like I am in a trucking version of the movie Groundhog Day.

 

Holiday weekend. Probably gonna be short staffed on Monday so they're getting everyone set up so the after-hours crew aren't so overloaded
