Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

Wanted to put a warning, save some headaches. If you're picking up or delivering to Mars in Chicago, off oak park Ave, make sure your trailer has fuel and is relatively clean. You do not want to have to turn around to get that taken care of. Besides nothing nearby, getting to and from the place is miserable. About 10mi of city side streets. Also, when crossing the rr tracks, you want the first drive before the guard shack, not the second. The turn onto oak park from grand Ave is kinda tight to so watch that. Facility itself isn't too bad, drop and hook and ok maneuvering room. Scale on-site too. Idk if they let reefer/vans use it as marked for tankers, didn't think to ask. Just FYI.

Place took me in an hour before appointment and am locked into a door. Let's hope it's an easy offload. Reviews for this place are mixed.

Just drop it at Lenoir City and do a 34 there. Surely there is something on your truck that needs, or will need, some mechanical attention.

 

That sucks having a trip screwed like that. Been there, not fun having your 14 messed up. I'll have to reconsider my joining you guys.
