@newbietrucker91 that sucks. I got to my delivery and truck decided it didnt want to change gears unless I flip the battery disconnect switch. Turned it into our shop around 0330 or so and the truck still hasnt been sent to freightliner

They probably just added your truck to the all ready long list of trucks they have plans to work on.
Issues like that usually mean the onboard controller for the transmission is bugging out and that can mean a very expensive and long wait for a new transmission.
They updated my load and now it's a drop anytime on the 10th at a beer place in Denvor. My info says to expect 45k so of course I'm going to be praying scales are down the whole way. Just a waste of time. After I drop, I'll have 2100 miles for the week. Not bad but not as good.RussianBearTruckeR, Speed_Drums and JoeyJunk Thank this. -

Things have changed, for me at least, for the better. The load, is a whopping 3 pallets, weighing a whole 5000 lbs. And tomorrow I swap loads with another driver in NM who will move it east. Not sure how the other driver will get it there any faster than I could, unless it's a team. I will take the other driver's load of ice cream to Henderson for Thursday. This way, I can get this load off my back, and get miles for this week instead of having to carry over this loads miles to next week.
And I have seen my 1st triple digit temps. Most of the way from Tehachipi to the NM line it was anywhere between 102° and 107°.Bumper, Speed_Drums, JoeyJunk and 2 others Thank this. -

I swear, I can't get a good nights sleep this week. Sunday night, after all that bullcrap about forcing a short haul load on me that didn't have paperwork, I was so pissed, I think I got 2 or 3 hours sleep. Then, at 1:30 this morning, I woke out of a deep dream because my spidey sense tingled because it didn't hear the reefer running in this desert heat. Turns out, Carrier decided to remotely shut down the reefer and update the software. It's been off who knows how long, and it's taking forever to download, and there is nothing that can be done. It specifically says not to shut down power,. So, Carrier may have just bought a load of frozen Reser's Fine Food product that is so special, they're paying us full price to haul 3 pallets 2850 miles...I swear, I won't miss this kind if crap one bit once I am out of this truck for good
