Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

It is the inverter going bad. I only know this because when I got out my flashlight and tools to check the cables on the unit...my flashlight was flickering, so I tapped it lightly on the top of the inverter to try to get it to stop flickering...and the inverter cut off. Tap it again, and it came back on. So, unless they installed the clapper on my inverter, it has problems.

 

And safety will probably put some of the blame for the stolen truck on the driver because he didn't use the brake cuff...or he can't prove he used it and it was removed somehow by the thief.

 

Didn't one of their former female astro-nuts drive like 1000 miles wearing an astronaut diaper to confront her former NASA co-worker after he dumped her and went back to his wife a while back...maybe there is a space illness that only effects female's hormones.

This whole multiple truck swap ordeal has kinda put me out of the good week cycle. Last week when they got me into this truck, my A/M got me 1700 quick miles to make it an o.k. week, but it made my logbook lopsided, which hurt this week. They did get me a load out of SoTex going to Denver. It picks up today (Weds) but it doesn't deliver until Sat, and because my logbook is heavy on the latter part of the week, it means I can't even lobby for an early delivery. So, hopefully with this decent mile start to next week, my short week woes are over until I go home next month.

 

Pulling an unusual trailer for Shaffer's fleet. I am pulling a Wabash reefer. Most of our fleet are Utility trailers. What makes this an odd trailer is that it is completely smooth on the outside. Most reefer trailers look like they use the same shape metal they use for metal roofing, but this is perfectly smooth. It pulls good, and is air ride, so that's cool.
