I came through there on Monday and it was the same way. Usually that's caused by slow pumps.

That's why some fuel stops need bouncers that are prepared to bounce.

Called Deland. They say that my old truck needs the engine brake replaced (always worked great for me).

This blue nanny mobile I recovered is overdue for an A service, has a weird problem with idle (rev's to 900 every time you set the parking brake), and has an exhaust recall at Freightliner...98000 miles...Cheese-n-rice... Junkliners SUCK!!!!

*Update...not the engine brake, it was the jake brake switch which has had the handle broken since a month or so after I got the truck (it would bind up when you tried to turn it on)...so tomorrow, I get a rental and it's back to Deland to go back it my manual.

Then...they put me up in a hotel tonight...they use the Wyndham Garden down the interstate from the terminal. They reserved a room, I got there and...they didn't confirm the reservation, and the hotel was full, no vacancy and it was after Marietta office went home. So, I had to get breakdown to reserve me a room elsewhere. The drama never ends.

If you go to the other side of 85, next to the McDonalds is an independent TS that quite often has parking when nowhere else within miles of Atlanta has any. It’s free if you sign in at the fuel desk to let them know you’re not squatting.

Got into a little argument with my own BH today.

Pretty much low on hours so planned to get a reset but never got hit with so much push back before.

Dude seemed shocked and appaled that I would even want to stop when I still would have hours to run a load after a 10.

Even sent me a msg asking for me to reconsider since he's only trying to make me as productive as possible.

I had to hold my tongue cause I wanted to hit back that getting me long loads instead same day short hauls with live pu/del would go a long way at making me more productive but didn't.

If I had to place a wager is that maybe one of his metrics is low right now so he's trying to keep everyone running 7 days a week straight to pump the number up.

Yeah, they don't like us doing 34s if not under a load, and not needing one. I'll admit they can usually keep me running where I don't need one because of my 70, but sometimes it's nice to just relax for a day. Usually wait until i get in the shop

Put your foot down and speak up...tell him if he thinks that the short #### he's been sending is productive, he needs to think again. Remind him that they call us their most valuable asset, and he is called what? You're the boss, tell him start running you on longer runs and see how much more productive you are...and tell him, you don't recall giving him permission to think, and before be does it again, he needs to get authorization, and take the 'thinking for yourself' certification class
