I got to take a tour of the Georgia backroads today. Had a load from Jacksonville to commerce, GA. 330 paid miles. Routed 10-75-675-285-85. Total miles 400. Didn't want to deal with Atlanta again, or drive 70mi for free one 300mi load. Ended up taking backroads pretty much the whole way. Took about 6hrs to drive 340mi.

Cruises? That’s your Jam! We need to make a vacation thread on here somewhere for an area completely unrelated to the b.s. you have to deal with as a driver. In nineteen days and I’m headed to Vegas for a week…

Delivered to the Walmart only to find no trailers. Located right on the border of Georgia off 85 so most likely will be told to go trailer hunting in Atlanta after my 10.

Last time I had to look for a trailer in Atlanta they sent me to a reefer repair yard saying I could pick it up 24/7. Well, turns out they closed at 6pm and it's gated so sat all night at the gate till they opened up. Did get paid $70 dollars for my trouble. Regardless had to nap with one eye open since place was located in one of the hoods of Atlanta and I'm just a lone truck parked on the street in the dead of night.
