    No M&M load this time.

Headed to the dreaded Del Monte port location in Philadelphia. Been there once before and it is not worth the trouble.

Shaffer has an account to cover the 'escort' fee but no escorting is done here. Even if you have a twic they still charge like $10 as an entrance fee then.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

    This a first for me.

Went over to pick up a load at Unilever and the load was canceled. Dispatch sends me another load number, and get this, its canceled as well. Gave the guard 4 different load pu numbers and each of them where canceled.

Ended up having me grab a Crete van preload from the Unilever instead. Been so long since I pulled a van...need to park near a reefer so I can sleep with the hum

This is the heaviest I have ever been. Full tank of fuel so hoping to burn enough to make legal.

Took me around 40 minutes of scaling to get it just right. Didn't help that 2 break are bad or loose since even when I had trailer set both axles on one side just rolled like it was no problem. Didn't even take much gas to move at a decent speed around the truck stop till I unstuck the pins and could slide them.

Nothing in this area for repairs so breakdown of course just asking if I feel safe driving. This load is a drop at our new west Memphis terminal so hoping they fix it there before next driver gets it.

not a guarantee but your total gross is under & Ive personally encountered & a few other Puffins I speak to that DOT gives you roughly a 500-600lb grace on an axle, they know sometimes there's not much you can do...unless you went and got loaded on a quarter tank & had a fuel assignment down the road with a full! you should be good..... your tank is (please correct me if IM wrong) 7lbs per gallon but with a reefer unit to be super safe full on both Id say 1500lbs (even though is closer to 1200-1300lbs - Ive always told the onion farms 1500 to be safe)... been through 3 different weight stations in 3 separate state with your situation & never been pulled over they do factor in the 80k gross first & foremost, now if theres someone officer that's in the dog house by his old lady & he just doesn't like your look Or smell, well than pal, its at their discretion! Good Luck... These ####ers needs to update their Truck Assignment procedure (already #####ed to Derrick & My Terminal last year)... Before assigning a truck send a mechanic to thoroughly go over it (mechanical, electrical, heating /cooling, cleanliness, batteries) before actually assigning a truck to a driver to respect their time & run a more efficient ship! Ive yet to get a truck that didn't have drained batteries or batteries needing replacement or some other shenanigans! Flawed System big league!

Had the worst luck tonight, a cruiser in the median was just chilling but the moment I past he got behind me.

Not 2 seconds later I see the lights and pull over going, fffffff!

In 5 years of driving I have never gotten a road side inspection. Last night was my first.

Just did a walk around and checked my logs. Thankfully it was cold and damp so he didn't go under and check the brakes.

Who would of thought the moment I know I have something wrong is the moment dot decides to do a random. Thankfully got a clear but was so nervous I was stuttering talking to the officer when he was asking questions.

I've had 5 random pull over inspections since May, all in Ohio.

I'm so gun shy now I panic (so to speak) every time I see a full-size white or silver suv in Ohio.

I did pass all those inspections, four level 3s and one level 2.

But hey I got a stack of 25$ Target gift cards now from my company - one for the first, two for the second, three for the third and so on..

They can smell a defect a mile away.

As for the weight, unless you're many hundreds over, they don't blink. I had a Shaffer load out of Sioux Falls going to the northeast and it took forever to get loaded. Once I scaled I was beyond what they would allow on my drives, so I pulled my snow chains and put them in the cab, and the 1st scale held me an extra 30 seconds on the scale, then green lighted me.

I had a random in Ohio coming southbound on US250 where it turns to the left to go east around Ashland. I was sitting there in the turn land waiting for the red and looking at the cop about to flag me over and I knew it. I was running with center top trailer lights out, and I knew it and the cop saw it. I got a clean inspection. He told me just to get it fixed, and said it was because I wasn't a dick like most truckers he does inspections on. There is a clear patch there where they do inspections often.
