That happened to me once. After that, a spare key was hidden under the hood. Helped out one time in the Chicago 'hood!

That’s the first thing I do when I get in a new truck. I literally locked myself out of a truck twice in one day. I said this will never happen again.

I locked myself out of the last FLD I owned, at the T/A in Gary, IN. The shop guys gave me a metal clothes hanger, and I broke into my own truck in about 5 min...had the security guard just drive by in his rent-a-cop mobile, and he never even slowed down to check to see what was going on. I keep a key in my wallet at all times now.

They changed my delivery appointment to tomorrow morning, then after noon I pick up about a mile or two up the road headed for MD. Feels weird, being up in SD with it in the mid-40's in February...feels more like May.

    Speed_Drums, drvrtech77 and 650cat425 Thank this.

It's been a good start to this tour of duty. Started out with a 1000 mile 2 day trip, followed by a 630 mile beer load that started frustrating, but worked out ok. Now I am live loading a 1325 mile run. My beer load was unloaded by 6 am, and my live load customer was only 1.5 miles away, with on site parking, so I decided to head there instead of sitting at the Sioux Falls Flying J and I am glad I did. I got here, parked and then headed in to get checked in and then get comfy waiting for my afternoon appointment. When I hit their office I politely asked if I should check in now for my afternoon appointment or come back a little later. He took my number, and immediately put me in a door, within an hour, my trailer isa rockin'...I should be outa here well before my pu time. Plus, this customer has those kind of docks that they back you in with your doors shut, then they open them from the inside when they're ready to load, and shut them with a seal when they're done. Who said cold storages and hauling reefer freight is a pain because of all the waiting...baah...

Go load at Tyson. They ran me empty from roanoke tx to seguin tx to load going up to arlington tx. Load was supposed to be ready at 2115 and I am still waiting. Hoping dispatch funds me another load to get me rolling.

And then my good day goes down the crapper. Nose heavy by enough to be borderline on getting a ticket.(400ish lbs, with a state scale 50 miles away). Tandems need to move 1 more pin forward, but a fixed stop bar is too far back, and my sliding 5th wheel can't slide because the company put blocking wedges in the pin holes, and I don't have the right size allen bit to remove them temporarily. Karma...you useless #####!!!!!

Did you have to come back and rework the load?
