They tried that Crap with me last year in Wilmer… Until I told them, they can have their keys and I would’ve went straight home… I had steer tires that had cuts in them and flat spots in them badly… I was told that they would not change them out, unless the cords are showing.. so yes they are getting cheap on maintenance

Wilmer tried it with me until I took a picture of the end of my ink pen sticking in a cut in the sidewall of a steer tire and sent it to safety with the caption "should I show this to the next open scale?" 15 minutes later they got out the air guns, and then I had to argue with them because they were only gonna change one and the tread depth was mismatched and gonna make my truck pull to the short side.

Wonder if they will try to force you to go to a DDC class for that. At one time if a trailer recap blew and took out the mudflap they made you sit thru one of Bone's safety classes.

I’m was told by a Crete manager that Crete doesn’t use recap tires. I laughed in his face

In my case ...it's not B.S. ..Kansas City would only replace one steer tire..and that was with a used tire...blow out was on tire they didn't replace

Interesting that paid workers no longer want to work! I get to slc yard inquire about a loaded trailer, trying to stay proactive and productive and don't have a load nor empty (wmt had none where I dropped).... this is night shift dispatch but nevertheless their salaries are provided by freight moving! 2 hours go by I notice a new loaded (reefer light on) trailer get dropped, scope around check the bills interesting load I inquire... this is only the 2nd loaded trailer I politely asked about and even said thnx for checking on the 1st one over 2 hours ago... here's the lovely response I get for trying to stay productive.... 20231012_191310.jpg
