My asset manager is one of the best. Found out that this load to FL is a drop/hook at the shipper. I asked if I have to pick it up on Saturday, or can I do a reset and pick it up early Sunday (since I will be waiting 28 hrs for the original ready time anyway, what's another 6 hours). He got with the CSR and the shipper and worked it out so I can indeed wait, just as long as I can make the delivery on time...so that is what I'ma gonna do. Been running vampire shift most of this week, and it's wearing me down a bit...but it has helped my idle time some. The truck doesn't run nearly as much without the bunk heater running, and shutting down early while the sun is keeping me warm has made a difference.

I hate to even chime in with company recommendations because it seems like things, aside from the truck, are going your way over there and you're pretty happy, but if you ever wanted to find yourself back in open deck freight have you ever considered Kaiser Transport out of Janesville, WI? I don't think they get to Florida often, but being the road warrior you are that's probably not much of an issue for you. Either way, thought I'd mention them to you.

You know, one if my biggest issues with Creaffer has always been the micromanaging and peoplenet nannying. When you're getting the miles I am getting, you deal with it. The one thing that is the most irritating is, if I have one of those loads that has a lot of paperwork to send in, I utilize a truckstop transflow instead of the Creaffer app. And then, within a day, I get a peoplenet message about 'truckstop scanning is expensive, please utilize the company app for scanning' and then a link where to download it. But....I just erased 47 useless Peoplenet messages that were reminders on how to do my job...like remember to put your lock on, remember to take your lock off, you can't deliver at Walmart early, don't speed in (insert state name here)'s construction zones. Not to mention the weekly message about doing even the simplest fundamental part of our job from safety. I also get crash stats and idle stats from my home terminal. Plus several times a week, we all get the recruiting bonus reminder. And this was 47 messages since I cleared all the unnecessary crap out last Monday on my last 34. They (or the system)grumps at me for scanning at a truckstop, but they send out 100's of nonsense messages every month, to EVERY truck. Data isn't free the last time I checked...and even if they get a huge discount, we have something like 5-6000 trucks...you want to same money bosses? STOP SENDING ME B.S. MESSAGES, then maybe the company can afford to let my truck idle like it does.
And just an update. It has been over 3 weeks since my nanny-mobile collision system popped at least one fuse, and quit bugging me,(I replaced 1 10a fuse, but it still didn't start working) and.....drum roll please...I haven't rear ended anybody or had anyone call into safety for tailgating them. And it's been the most peaceful 3 weeks since my return to the company. It's gonna stay off until I go into a company shop and they fix it...then I'll ask, innocently, which fuse I missed, so if it happens again, I know which one to replace...just so I know next timeLast edited: Mar 6, 2021

I get the don’t forget to lock your trailer message every week day morning promptly at 0800. It’s the only canned message we get, and not on weekends. I decided to not go home this weekend. Way to far to just have one day off because I would have to leave early on Sunday to make my Monday delivery by 1100. So I am going straight to Brandon Pennsylvania today and do a 34 at the J near by.
