I was thinking something along those lines, or a loose ground someplace.
we have it, but I think I have used it once. The guy in orientation said they put those on because of drivers getting shoulder and back injuries...my first thought is, they're hiring some sickly drivers if they hurt themselves pulling a kingpin release. If they hurt themselves doing that, how do they keep from getting hurt winding the landing gear or climbing into and out of a trailer to put load locks on their load. Very sad that the driver pool has gotten that thin if that's the best drivers they can attract. I have probably pulled thousands of kingpins in my career and the worst thing I ever had happen was a greasy hand or a dirty jacket or shirt.

Now the transmission is grinding gears occasionally. Went to leave my parking spot in Waddy, which was at a slight uphill grade. The nannybox chose 1st, when it tried to shift to 2nd it went grrrrrunch into 2nd and then started lurching. Best thing they can do to any of these pieces of garbage is part them out and buy a real truck.

The 1st time mine did that it made me do a doubletake. At first I thought it was doing some sort of reboot. I also hate getting those nanny messages. I got one last night after I got parked and had my jammies on. Then the system sent me a message about where I was parked was a high crime area and said to limit my time there and do a long break in a safer area...I ignored it and deleted it...just like those messages you get before crossing into Indiana about speeding, or certain scales being known for finding certain violations...like we need a digital babysitter. That is the micromanaging that started me on the path to depart the last time. I wish I was good at hacking computers so I could set up some of the management's system to 'remind' them how to do their job all day long.Last edited: Apr 11, 2025

Yeah that’s way too early for issues in the AMT but who knows how it was treated before you.

A lot of this crap i feel is because of these ambulance chasing lawyers who will sue for anything and these companies now go to extremes like this to “try” and cover their behind..it’s gotten to the level of ridiculous…something needs to be done to limit or prevent these frivolous lawsuits from continuing to occur.navypoppop, hope not dumb twucker, Friend and 1 other person Thank this.

I was exiting a 2 lane off ramp in Cali, and this car sped up and didn’t pass me but stayed right next to my cab.I knew they were up to something.
Sure enough, right before I got to the stop sign, they sped up got in front of me,and slammed on their brakes.Thinking I was going to hit them, but not hard enough to kill the stupid (Bleep). But they lost, and sped away.hope not dumb twucker, Friend and Lonesome Thank this.
