I think the fuel gauge being off is to prevent idiots from running out of fuel. Especially at these Megas.

Could be right, but I do think it is more typical of Freighty lack of QC.

The offset is definately towards the underestimate side of level, so you could be on to something there.

But, I have a custom truck built on an ordered bare chassis. Not fleet ordered mass runs that roll off the lines.

    Who knows.

    Detroit #### good.

Freighty dealerships always seem to have eaten every crayon out of the box. ;)

I have an air leak in my 24 Cascadia.
It does not leak while parked or during a leak test.
It only leaks while driving down the road.
If I’m light, and a smooth road.It takes about 10 minutes before compressor to kick in.
If I’m heavy on a bumpy road,it takes about 2 minutes.Aklie has had it in there shop twice, and say they fixed it,but no it’s not.
    I’m thinking it’s the Leveler.

    Friend and Knucklehead Thank this.

My money is on the brake control module.

Or you have a brake chamber that has a bad valve.

Knucklehead, Lonesome and O.Henry Thank this.

Wouldn’t it leak during a parked leak test?
Also I’m not using brake while driving down hwy.

Yes and no - it's leaking, you just can't hear it. Chock your wheels and release all brakes for 10 minutes and you'll probably notice the pressure drop.

You're also "using" your brakes as you go down the road. When you're not hooked to a trailer, air doesn't come out the trailer service brake line. When the trailer brake is released, air is able to flow down the line when the brake pedal is pushed. That module is where I think the leak is. Something isn't opening or closing correctly.

    scythe08 and Knucklehead Thank this.

My guess would be brake can or a line running into it.

I gave one example of why it's probably the brakes. Many years ago I was given a choice of a brand new Automatic or a POS Manual - I chose the manual. I had an air leak - governor constantly kicking in, no pressure in the morning. Shop 'fixed it' a couple three times. The problem was service brake supply valve wasn't closing properly. Mechanics were supplying shop air while testing their repairs of several other small leaks and found no issues. The service brakes themselves weren't dragging after brake application, just a valve in the control module didn't close properly. Took banging my shoe on the counter, but we got it fixed.

If it holds air while the brakes are set, but not running down the road, it's probably something in the brake system. It could be an airbag or the leveler, but those generally result in loss of air pressure overnight.
