Lots of “high value” loads have that rule applied to them.

I can kinda understand her frustration. Every night block scares and getting screamed at by those drives for telling them too move. $14 an hour isn’t worth the abuse. I ain’t saying she’s right thouLast edited: Apr 22, 2025

I wasn’t rude to her but when she pulled that, on the way out, i called them a bunch of #######es… but for them to sit there and not give a #### about people parking illegally and blocking access to things and then turn around and doing what she did yeah that’s why corporate office is getting involved… I don’t put up with that nonsenseaustinmike, hotrod1653, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

Yes. High dollar or certain loads like pharmaceuticals or US coins are very carefully tracked.austinmike, hotrod1653 and motocross25 Thank this.

When I was at Crete, we would haul the spools of copper from the smelter to the wire plants. They had the same rule. The only thing we were allowed to stop for was a CAT scale to verify the axle weight since the plant only had a platform scale and wouldn't let you axle out.
The pharmaceutical place in York used to give you a phone number to call if you stopped for more than 5 minutes within the first 200 miles to check in with the tracking company.Last edited: Apr 23, 2025

I think the previous driver tried that. (At least that's what he could say if anyone calls him out for dropping a trailer with a flat). You can tell by the rub marks that this tire was driven a ways without air.
The tire shop had another tire guy closer to me finish a service call early, so they routed him to my location. I was up and running by 4 pm...just in time to play in Atlanta rush hour traffic. I had enough time left on my 14 to make it almost to MS. So, I will be dropping this load off in Sanger this afternoon. Breakdown said that a company shop will be able to fix the fuel level sensor, but the unit will have to be shut off and they don't want me to stop at one under a load, so it will have to be done at another time. The unit runs fine, you just get a message on the Peoplenet at every dispatcher shift change making you aware of a yellow code reefer alarm.Lonesome, Knucklehead and Rugerfan Thank this. -
Driving thru Atlanta, makes me want to quit?
Friend, navypoppop and Knucklehead Thank this.
