All the savings from the government job slashing doesn't mean that you spend so much money on a military parade and giving the undocumented people $1000 and a free ride home. It still costs a fortune to fly those planes to take them home no matter what. So much for savings.

True but it still is expensive and money the government shouldn't spend.

Not to mention the money wasted on a 2000 mile wall, that doesn't keep people out. When I was at the border delivering for SPD, they said that it was almost a daily event to have illegals running thru their property being chased by the border patrol. A 25' no scale fence that can easily defeated by....a ladder and rope. It seems, the only ones the fence kept out were the ones that slipped and fell and were too hurt to run (or were dead). Then, the hurt ones got free medical treatment until they were healthy enough and were just escorted across the border to try again.

My 'Ram/Dodge' son-in-law just messaged Mrs. Snackbar. Not only is my Ram a parts dump. His mom's 2016 (with a hemi) has her a/c out (same YF-1234 refrigerant as my wife's) plus it has developed that Hemi cylinder mis-fire which might be the roller rocker failure (that kills the cam). Now his Cummins powered Ram (that he just got back in the road from transmission and injector issues) just had his 2-piece rear driveline have the carrier bearing disintegrate and almost fall out from under his truck. He said he might be having a 1/2 off sale on all his Mopar equipment...he is rapidly becoming an anti-Tony fan (as in FIAT - Fix It Again Tony).

Man, I've never seen someone beat up on a group for getting fair compensation. Union membership has been declining for years, but the corporate suite's pay structure never declines. Our wage gap between blue collar and white collar is one of the biggest in the world, but you want the working man to take a pay cut, unreal.

And yet these corporations are making consistent “record profits”.

Fair compensation? :laughing-guffaw:. I have (or had) family members who were union members who would go on strike because they wanted "guaranteed" hours(regardless of how the economy was doing). They wanted "guaranteed" pay increases (regardless of job performance). And they were already making well above the average wage for the area. Then they were shocked when their company moved most of their jobs either out of state or out of the country because of the excessive labor costs. I worked with several guys who were UAW members in my early years that took second jobs because they were on strike at Chrysler because $20/hr wasn't enough (when minimum wage was $3.75/hr) and they wanted guaranteed overtime. These guys got new cars every other year(along with their wife getting a new car on the odd year). They had boats(plural), had houses that were way above what the average middle class could afford. Took overseas cruises...but whined and complained how rough they had it. No, my opinion on unions is soley based on the experiences I have had with these whiney arse crybabies. The current UAW should be outlawed. Modern vehicles are way overpriced but have more defects than decades ago, but yet these SOB's go on strike at the drop of the hat no matter how crappy they do their job.
