Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

I wouldv'e brought it to his attention that his speed got him to the gate at the same time as you, so congrats on getting to the gate to check out 20 seconds faster.

 

I spoke to Deland this morning about the progress of leaving the Princess. The Admin on duty said he sent both managers an email about it, but it has been a hectic week, and he will follow up on Tuesday. Apparently I am not the only driver pissed off with his dispatcher, so it sounds like I am in line, waiting my turn. I told him what is going on and if I am hung out to dry for the whole holiday weekend, then I will be on the phone 1st thing Tuesday with Deland to explore my options...if Shaffer doesn't need me, maybe Crete does. Making $0.02/mi less, but making miles beats sitting on my butt not making miles at a higher rate. And, if they say I can't switch yet, then I will let them know that I will find someone else to drive for and will let them know when to expect the truck to be returned so they can put a trained chimp behind the wheel because they certainly don't need experienced drivers

 

Nope...giving them an hour, then I am heading to Mechanicsburg. If I have to sit all weekend for free, then Tuesday I might be either pulling a dry van or riding a greydog. I have had it with this incompetence at Shaffer.


-update- got a little testy and basically said I am headed to Mechanicsburg in 45 min, with or without permission (or my job)...2 minutes later POOF a load out of NJ going to Kennesaw, ready now, delivers anytime before Tuesday. Why do they make a driver get irate before they get their #### together. They knew I needed a load when they cancelled that load yesterday, but yet wait until I throw a #### fit before giving me something

 

They're sucking up so you don't get them yelled at from the Veep
