Been to 2 Mars/Wrigley plants recently...holy crap are they limited as far as drop lot space. One north Chattanooga, and one out in BFE NJ. The one in TN hurt me physically...the mint flavor was so strong in the lobby where you get your paperwork from security, it burned my sinuses worse than Vicks vapo rub. The one in NJ made me hungry. As soon as I walked in the building, I smelled M&M's....mmmmmm. Made it back to the Mechanicsburg yard before dark.

if people would do their jobs, I wouldn’t have to turn around and report them.. I normally would not have an issue with them taking a load off of me but when they wait 31 hours after they plan me on it to take it off and to take it off just a couple hours after my guy goes home for the weekend. I knew there was some BS going on.

They probably put another fire out with it, or gave it to a favorite.

Could it also be they are trying to get the higher paid more experienced drivers to quit leaving the lower paid drivers and more money for company ?

    Friend and Bumper Thank this.

Then why hire experienced drivers to begin with? Make it a training company and go on with life. I worked there twice and both times I had to fight for miles.

Friend, Woobie, Lonesome and 4 others Thank this.

They tried that years ago. Actually had a training department. (There was another thread years ago about Crete, had a regular member that was a trainer posting about his adventures). Accident rates went up, freight claims went up, and they had to fight to keep customers. They learned that experienced drivers, while they aren't perfect, tend to make fewer silly mistakes that cost the company profits and are cheaper in the long run.
