That sucks. Are there actually loaded trailers on the lot?
If not, can you message dispatch and ask what they want you to do, and maybe you'll get lucky and they'll tell you to just bobtail if you're picking up a preloaded trailer on your next load?

I might have been inclined to tell said yard man, "How about I get plenty of KY, and put this trailer in a very special place"....
Friend, hope not dumb twucker and JohnBoy Thank this. -
I looked at the trailer with the wonky landing gear they're talking about. It was recently inspected and serviced on 5/29. The problem with the landing gear is that they were replaced, but whomever replaced them, welded the top mounts 6" farther out than they're supposed to be, so the distance between the top of the legs is a foot wider than the bottom, so it is bowlegged, which has now bent the big plates on the outside of the legs that keep the landing gear from folding front-to-back.
Just got off the phone with breakdown...surprise surprise, they said nobody had reported it to them, so now they need to get a driver to bring and empty down from Columbus and take the bad one back for repairs.Last edited: Jun 19, 2025 at 8:55 AM

And I just found out, the Princess is out again today. Wish I could survive working part time like she does.

Well, they unloaded the trailer I brought in, then reloaded it with my Minooka load. They were live loading another Shafter's load on the empty he brought in. I have my next pplan for after I drop the Minooka. Live load in Montgomery, IL at noon tomorrow, going to Murfreesboro for a Sunday drop. Which fits my hours pretty well. After I drop this load tomorrow, I will be into bonus-land, which isn't impressive to me. As hard as I have intermittently been running, 28,800 by the 3rd week of the 3rd month ain't squat. My busy times at SPD before Daseke, W-TFI, and SPD's VP changed ####, I could do that many miles in a few days over 2 months, and that was using a whole lot more logbook time doing loading, securing and tarping.
Friend, hope not dumb twucker, motocross25 and 1 other person Thank this.
