I found it on Jill... I just had to remember there was a place close, in order to look.

Found it on Jill, just had to remember it was there in order to look. That was the day I backed into the dark, 40' dock from a tiny street...sat there getting loaded with my tractor taking a good chunk of the street for its own.

    ORIENTATION
    DAY 4

    LOAD BOARD TRAINING

Ok now you made it , your a CHOICE DRIVER ( business owner ) now you got to figure out how to run that billy big rigger truck , you just got your hands on .. Lol
or if you brought your own unit , you get my drift ... :)

Class on Day 4 starts a hour late you get to come in at 7-730 .

When you arrive you will notice there are no mileage guys in the class today . This is training day for CHOICE IC's ONLY ..

It starts out with a briefing of terms and what they mean and how to understand them and what they are such as ICA .. Etc . You will also get a sheet of paper with your ICA and ICR info on it and your home terminal . Which will be one of 2 places

GREEN BAY or CHARLOTTE . This really means nothing cause you run yourself now but it is part of day 4 . Your ICA / ICR info is really important info to know .

After the briefing of the terms, you take a break and then go into the load board it's self . Log in , Browse , Check freight , Understanding the screens , Load info , load assignments , VIEW LOADS and more .

You out will then get your empty search assignment in which your paid for . You most likely will not book a load out of GB directly but things change so who knows .

YOU are then released to hit the road or go back to hotel

    have fun safe trails ...

    More ore updates to come

    JAR HEAD

Thanks to you and DFO in the other thread I have been talking to Schneider and the finance dept. Is it hard to learn their load board?

No but its entirely java based like the crossroads scorecard, etc., and just as buggy... LOL.

But no its not hard to learn, but you do have to dig a little bit for extra info when searching for loads and there are all kinds of odd tricks to making it work.

The load board is not difficult to learn at all. You'll have no problem. Just be sure to pay attention to all the details of the load, stops, days / times, etc. Dispatch yourself in "real world" time. That is, leave hours for trailer searches, load / unload delays, construction delays, etc. I like to book myself out about a week (60hrs+ worth of running @ 50mph plus load /unload, etc) and leave an "extra" 8 hours on the end. If in fact I do have those hours (sometimes I do and sometimes I don't) I'll look for a short run before I reset. I was scheduling way to close at first and while I always made the del. on time the angst wasn't worth it. I started leaving more room on loads and it's a much better experience. In any event good luck....

Glad you like the info we've put out here . The load board is very strait forward and easy to navigate on a Laptop your best browsers Google Chrome and Fire Fox .

But its very simple just always look at the details before you book
