Mostly changes to the precipitation pattern. Which means in some places it is rainy less in someplace alittle more. Overall, precipitation is down some, not not a negotiable amount. The watershed that feeds lake Powell and lake mead is getting less snow and rain and that's the main problem for the West. Lake Powell and Lake Mead provide water and hydroelectric power to a very large portion of the Western States. There is a large set of pacts, treaties, legal decisions that collectively are referred to as "The Law of the River" and it determines who gets water and how much. Up until about 15 to 20 years ago there was always an excess amount of water available so everyone got all the water they were entitled to and many entities were able to receive amounts above that. But, 15 to 20 years ago the surplus flows had to be stopped because there was no longer a surplus of water. Now, both lake mead and lake Powell are at the lowest levels they have been since they were originally created and filled. Last year was the first time that official shortages were declared. That means several water entities are no longer able to receive their normal allotment and got less water. Weather patterns aren't predicted to return to what they used to be anytime in the foreseeable future (10 to 20 to 30 year future), so these shortages and even more are going to happen.
Hoover Dan is one of the largest hydroelectric plants in the world and provides a significant portion of the electrical power in the Western States. The lower water levels of Lake Mead has already reduced by over 25% of the electrical generating capacity of Hoover Dam, even though more efficient and 'low flow turbines have been installed in the generators at Hoover Dam.
It's gonna get bad! That's all I can say.

I wasn't referencing what Nature controls, just what Humans have destroyed/are continuing to destroy.
Planetwide are clearly OBVIOUS Destroyed Sections/Sectors that "might return sometime" yet the "sometime" willn't occur for CENTURIES, IF/WHEN at all.

Humans have successfully generated Pollution in the Planet Wide Ocean including the Mariannas Trench (deepest point) with Plastic Trash.

Plastic Pollution has been building since the '50's and IS EVIDENT ON ALL SHORES!

Humans have ZERO CONTROL over NATURAL CONSTRUCTS.
Humans only have the ability to disrupt the Air, Land and Sea then have the unmitigated audacity to ask
    "What Happened??"

Fukishima, Japan has been LEAKING RADIOACTIVE WASTE since 2011.
Is It A Problem To Human Sustainability?
    Maybe, Maybe Not.

Chernobyl may be Safe in 1,000 - 10,000 Years...

The Amazon Rainforest is all but gone and was declared "The Lungs Of The Planet"!!

The truth is that weather patterns have always fluctuated over time. How can you really gauge what is happening when you have no baseline to go by?

And unfortunately, like anything that there is an agenda behind, it is very difficult to believe what people tell us and especially when they tell us that we have to act now because it is an emergency and it is a crisis therefore we have to make dramatic sweeping overwhelming costly changes or you will perish...

It is OK to make changes when the technology is truly ready and when it is the correct time. But pushing for things that the technology is not ready and that the byproducts of that not ready technology will only create another problem is certainly not the answer... To a problem that we're not sure that we really have...

Which brings it back to the original point of it being difficult to believe things because there's an agenda attached to it.
