Im a lease at prime (it was a bad idea I know let's put that aside) I was running reefer (still am currently) and coming into the industry I wanted to do a year reefer to learn to drive the truck, well year reefer is up and now it's time for my flatbed adventure. I will be back in Springfield on the 24th for repairs and get a headache rack put on and a two day securment class then will be out on my on. Now I know freight this time of the year is bad but it's a great time to teach my self securment since there is a learning curve.
So I'm going flatbed

If you don't like 0 dark thirty loads... stay away from Home Depot loads. Most flat loads are scheduled between 0100 and 0700.

Coming from a mega? It will happen. But we can educate and maybe help out. Seems few are willing to help people out anymore. Why? I was new not all that long ago. I didn't start in the 70s, everyone reading this was new at some point.

Prime has direct customers. So freight wise you will be fine as long as you stay where there is freight. They will have some places where you will be able to get a load every day of the week. Learn where these places are and you will make money, even doing a lease on a mileage contract. Now, my question is, what are you going to do at the end of your lease? You are essentially paying for a job. No offense meant by that, but I'd really like to know your next step. Buy that truck? Turn it in and lease another truck? The reason why I am asking is because it is incredibly difficult to 'pay for a job' and buy a truck.G13Tomcat Thanks this.
