I went to dealership and offered to meet them half way with this and they shaved off $300 from the bill. So, I ended up paying the lion's share and left it at that. So that's it....appreciate all the responses

Well that mx13 should of had a overhead by the book at around 60k.
But yes they do seize in the threads and break off. Steel bolts in aluminum and not a good combination. Antiseize the new ones

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I would pull each bolt one by one and put a little antiseize and retorque. Prevent from happening again

    Rideandrepair and birdmanfromsc Thank this.

They have a better warranty, I am assuming someone didn’t want to buy it

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Just as a rough rule of thumb, never do business with a shop that acts like they're doing you a favor to work on your truck. They like to give you that attitude and a lot of people fall for it.

Bad deal. Bad reviews are in order. I’d let them know, I’m going to tell everyone that will listen about the bad deal. And I talk a lot.
