I went to dealership and offered to meet them half way with this and they shaved off $300 from the bill. So, I ended up paying the lion's share and left it at that. So that's it....appreciate all the responses

But yes they do seize in the threads and break off. Steel bolts in aluminum and not a good combination. Antiseize the new onesRideandrepair Thanks this. -
I would pull each bolt one by one and put a little antiseize and retorque. Prevent from happening again
