Yep, they're both part of the test though depending on the truck you may not be able to check the level in the hub but you have to say you did anyway.

Today I fumbled my way through my first pre trip and road test since I got my license earlier this year. Made some mistakes, and even stalled the truck, something I'd never done in class. Fortunately the manager was forgiving and knew that I'm a recent grad, haven't driven in months, and have no real world experience. After we got back to the yard he gave me paperwork to get a drug test. Hopefully I'll be singing an offer letter in a few days.
