This is going to be exponentially worse than Katrina and New Orleans in terms of damage costs, loss of commerce production, and recovery time.
But, this is the type of event required to get much of that cash tied up and accumulating on Wall Street the last 10 years, back to Main Street.

And as the heavier rainfall starts to move northward, that water will just flow back down into the same areas currently dealing with flooding. I usually don't get out to Texas, company keeps me bottled up in the NE, but I just delivered two construction projects in May and I wonder how they faired?
I know one was on the west side of Houston somewhere and the loading dock area was below street level, I imagine that must be a nice lake right about now. -
