    Hello everybody !

I just got a speeding ticket 11 mph over the speed limit at Texas ( My CDL is from Nevada but I'm driving local in TX )
I called around many lawyers to find out my chances of getting the ticket dismissed so it wont show up on my record and it seems like its going to cost me around $800 to $1000 ( legal fees and court fees )

My driving record is clean so far .

Do you guys think its worth to pay that money to fight it or should I just pay that ticket and let it go on my record ?

I plan on becoming an Owner op within next 3 months ( not sure if the ticket can have any negative effect on that )

    Thank you !

@TripleSix - what would you do? That ticket will hurt him trying to become an 0/0 won't it?

It's worth keeping it off your MVR, yes. You'll probably have to plead to some lesser charge and pay the fine. There isn't anything you can do to keep it off your PSP though. It'll show up there for three years.

I’d fight it. $800 is a cheap price to get that removed off the record books.

I think I'd pay for for a lawyer personally to keep it off my cdl...
Is anyone using that driver's legal service that they try and sell you at a fuel stop? Think it's around 45$ a month. It's supposed to help with tickets etc..

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Call the court clerk and ask which lawyer is the best on traffic. Most don't do a lot of criminal if they do tickets, and are cheaper. I paid $500.
