Yeah - thanks for that uplifting comment.

You think he doesn’t know that already?

    What’s a “SR-22”?

Is that strictly a California thing?

No it's not just a CA thing. It's something to do with you have proven to have so many violations on your record you have to get proof of insurance before we'll let you get a license again.

And nobody asked the question - do you have a CDL or were you inquiring before applying for one?

I don't understand why SR-22s are still necessary in this age of electronic insurance records. Here in Texas the policeman usually verifies your insurance before he even walks up to your window.

    Virginia has them also.

My cousin had one when we were much much younger. HIs insurance went through the roof, and that was a personal vehicle nothing to do with CDLs, and that was roughly 30 years ago. He liked to speed, and not just 5 over...took that SR22 to smarten him up. He also liked to roll around with no insurance.

I can only imagine the impact on a CDL driver now with a SR22 in this day and age.

Look into the AG work that was suggested, keep your nose clean, and wait it out.

It sucks, but eh...not much you can do about it, but learn from it, and move forward.

    Good luck.
