Hi all!
Anyone else here going to Millington on 7/18? I'm hopping the bus from Chicago to Memphis next weekend.
Any tips or advice from other students or graduates would be great!
I'm excited but also a little nervous. I heard its fast-paced and if you don't get the backing pretty quickly you're out.
How have your experiences been?
Thanks!

Millngton was pretty fast paced when I was there. As far as backing you have to be able to pass the straight lie back by the second day of range or you will be sent home, but you also will not owe any money. I think they reason they do that is if you can't back straight in that amount of time, no way will you be able to learn the rest in the time given. After that if you fail anything else you will be placed on academic probation and held back a week, you get one chance at this.
All in all yeah moves pretty quick and if you pass everything there you should have your CDL in hand by the end of week 3 since all the boxes there are smaller than the DMV. Only real tricky thing is if you are from IL (leaving from Chicago) learn to do your 45 using only mirrors and to watch you tail swing. IL is kinda picky on the 45 but the rest is cake.Brian13 Thanks this. -
Thanks Neal. Well that sounds manageable, anyway. I appreciate the heads up on the IL CDL test. Looking forward to earning my CDL!

Millington must be a busy school. A lot of students I have met seem to always go there.
