Starting CDL School. Need some guidance

Welcome to the world of trucking!!! Best advice while you're learning: listen and soak, even if its repetitive. Driver instructors, then eventually over the road trainers are there to help you hone your skills. Once you get your own truck, don't hang out in truck stops. Just fuel, eat, shower, get out, go to your truck. The grouches of the industry hang out there in droves. I'm passing on the advice that was given to me 11 years ago.

You need to get the endorsements right now before graduation.
They're easy to get, simply scroll to top of this page and click on "CDL Practice Tests" and memorize all the answers. Then go to the DMV and take the tests. You'll pass, because you will already have the questions and answers memorized.
When you graduate and get your cdl, all the endorsements will be on there because you already took the tests at the DMV.
When you move to Texas, you'll have to do the hazmat endorsement over again, because it won't transfer from one state to another.

 

The test at the DMV is done on a computer there. You sit in front of the computer and answer the questions. When you finish the tests the endorsements will be added to your cdl.

so anytime we move from one state to another with a hazmat cdl we have to take the hazmat test again ?
