Or if worse comes to worse, see if there is a small business with a SECURE yard that will let you park for a small fee. Your terminal may be hesitant to let you bobtail home without secure parking available. The downside of bobtailing home as a company driver is your drive time counts against your hours of service. Bear that in mind. Best bet is to park a car at the terminal.
My uncle said hed pick me up at the truckstop in my car. I have two truckstops within 4 miles that will let me park for a few days
Bicycle. Fits in truck, good exercise, makes 4 miles easy. As far as options.. you can go straight to flatbed from training or at least it was a year ago. If I started over, I'd still get my cdl the way I did and then go to schneider bulk instead of schneider van. Van is getting boring honestly. Nothing wrong with swift. Nothing wrong with schneider either. Apply to both and see who offers more money?
I was thinking i could get me a foldable trike with the basket that way i had something easy to carry my laundry in. I can also walk so i do have options. I know swift offers like 36 or 38 cpm. Schneider goes off experience. Main reason i was looking at Schneider is the hometime
If it helps, I've been with sni for 13 months and I'm at .46 now. Plus the $2500 bonus. Plus the tuition reimbursement.. so that's another $2900. It's not terrible. But they do go a bit out of the way in hand holding and preaching safety.
So Schneider pays well but its alot of safety. Swift and Schneider are similar then just Schneider holds your hand more

I've heard that some shops will install an even larger inverter upon request. 1800 is fine for me, though. I only need about 1000W at any given time. Moosetek13, Saturday at 11:46 PM
