I had a 5 stop delivery with a flatbed load of commercial air conditioners. Sucked.

I don’t know how that could have sucked China. Some of the best paying loads I’ve ever had were HVAC units. Hard not to make money sitting around with your truck shut off for hours on end while the union loons #### around with safety meetings, lift meetings and circle jerks. They’re light loads and some pay more in clock time than miles when it’s all over.

Did this one load that paid what it was supposed to cause the agent couldn't leach all the money out of it.

Dude's all stop for an hour cause the one's kid is getting a shot ( BC - Before Covid ), the hugest circle jerk you've ever seen.

Detention on that load was $75 hour.

Work like that you definitely have to sidestep the pimps. That’s where all the fuel surcharges and demurrage usually evaporate into thin air. If a guy gets tangled up in that game for miles/drops, or worse, straight miles I guess it could suck pretty quick.

I was a company driver, so don't know what the load paid. All 5 stops had to be unloaded from the street. Some union big shot stopped us for a while because I wasn't a union driver and the crane operator wasn't union. Some guys were doing landscaping work and before the union guy left, he filled his car truck with bags of mulch. No one even paid any attention.

Took a lot of those air conditioner loads from Tennessee to California. Sometimes to the port in New Orleans and were loaded on a ship heading for Saudi Arabia.

Tanker isn’t bad, just be careful.
worked for Schneider Tanker, it was ok, just me and the newbie DBL(your go between for getting dispatched) was an idiot and thought he knew everything, so you couldn’t tell him anything.
so i quit when they wouldn’t let me change DBLs after mine quit.
said he was new give him time.
so i got a new job, he’s still there, calla every now and then asking if i wanna go back to work.

Helena Chemical/now helena agri is ok, but they have 3 types drivers.
seasonal, 9 month on/3months off or full time 12 months.
