So I ended up talking to wv workforce and they will pay for schooling through PIA in northern wv. I just have to wait till end of september for appointment which makes no sense. So now I have fafsa just cant use it, isnt that somethin. Just hoping their job placement is not all otr, really would like to get regional with some home time, not the time to leave the family for too long.

Jesse, are you already working for USA or just beginning your training with C1? Either way how has your experience been so far?
-
Started with usa few weeks ago. went to orientation and spent week and half with trainer/coach as they like to call it. They are paying me 50 a day for training. not much but hope it pays off in a few years. have to get 150 hrs drive time second seat with a team and test out to get my own truck. my first trainer was great. I will probably stay in contact with him. I was out backing him on the second week. he was on a dedicated run. I live close to the terminal and was dropped off home for the weekends. Waiting for my team trainer to call anytime. Seen a few other trainers on the road I think I was lucky.

I am thinking about C-1. Jesse Go Browns I like Cleveland Browns also. Anyways. Do I have to have my West Virginia state permit before I go? Or did you get it there when you went? Also where do you go for your full CDL? Did you have to go home to take the test there, or did you test at C-1 and get your CDL? If you did get your CDL in the school, did you have to transfer back to your home state or what??
-
I had to surrender my Ohio license. We had to test for Indiana operators license. It was not a hard test but many failed. When you get your CDL you have to transfer it back to your state. In Ohio they made me take my written CDL general knowledge test to transfer it back. It was a bit of a hassle but as long as your prepared It will go smooth. Get yourself prepared for a lousy stay at a crappy hotel. Study your state CDL manual sections general knowledge, combination, and air brakes before you go don't count on E Gears to get you ready for the written test.
-
Really many failed? Did they have to go home, or do they retest??
-
only 5 people out of the whole class passed all the tests first time around. They all had to retest.
-
At least they dont kick them to the crub LOL.... Lets go Browns!!
