Has anyone ever steam cleaned the under carriage of your truck and up around the frame etc etc? I was greasing my truck today and started thinking of ways to clean up all the old grease that is caked onto everything... Some of it is just road grime not necessarily grease.

Or does any company offer some type of service that takes care of this issue?

The under carriage wash that you get at blue beacon certainly doesnt take care of this, about the only thing that's good for is salt.

FWIW, I did mine myself at least once a year with Gunk Concentrate and a 2300 psi pressure washer. Pulled the steer onto 8" blocks, put on a "moonsuit", got on the creeper. It's a nasty, nasty job.

There at one time was a place near Ft. Wayne that did it. S & J Truck sales did a lot of frame stretches and sent the truck there prior to doing any work.

You could call a carpet cleaning company company that advertises truck mounted steam cleaning. Have them shoot some Chemeisters Grease Eraser on that stuff and then high pressure rinse it. If I still had my truck mount, I would hose it down and clean it off for you.

I'm not far from Ft. Wayne so I pass through that area frequently. Any idea of what the place was called? I figured it would be a nasty job, I wouldn't mind paying for it versus doing it myself.

Call S&J Truck Sales. They're the guys that stretched my frame. They should be able to put you in contact with the steam cleaner outfit.
Might be a wild goose chase as this was back 10 yrs. ago. BOL

I have a set of ramps for my stepdeck and can do mine as often as I feel like it. Usually twice a year. I just set up the ramps as tall as they go and drive the steer tires right up to the top. Fire up the Hotsy and get to work. I can get most of it clean without even getting all the way under the truck.

I think it was @Lepton1 that knows a place in OKC that will do it for you for under $200.

I’ve got a commercial grade hot water setup that will do it.

Flex wand is key, and as said - expect to trash a set of clothes doing it. NASTY.

I do it about twice a year.

The mechanic shop loves me for it.

OKC Truck Detail @ 5720 SW 11th Street. Make an appointment, they are busy. Weekdays only. I've used them three times in the last two years, as I buttoned up my engine. Money well spent.
