I wouldn’t know because the last truck we bought new was a 2003 FL. It still had a Panasonic Am/Fm Cassette player. Lol!

Trucks will accept the same stereos as cars. Any stereo shop or cb installer can put in your own radio.
Don't know about the speakers.hidden1 Thanks this. -
Only bad radio I’ve had in the last 20 years and about as many trucks, was a no name POS in a ‘12 Pete 389. So weak you couldn’t hear it at full blast. I ended up buying my own unit that was plug n play which was a drastic improvement. I left it in the truck a few hundred thousand miles later when I vacated it.
Cascadias and Volvos from the last decade are sufficient. Currently on my third Pete 579 and am more than pleased with the sound quality in these. I’ve had a few trucks over the years that have had 2 and 4 speaker settings in the menu. The two speaker set ups are generally found in day cabs but make sure it’s on 4 speaker if you have 4 speakers as it makes a big difference in sound quality.
Had a few blown speakers over the years and the companies would always replace them for me.
Just for kicks, check out John Hall Bassing Semi on Facebook or YouTube. The guys a hoot, flatbedder with a Volvo and the entire sleeper is a speaker cabinet.hidden1 Thanks this. -
The Cascadia has pretty good sound in my experience. Good soeaker setup, but a few of the other guy's rides had some problems. Rear speakers should be on with a sleeper truck. My Oldsmobile cars have been not quite as good but those were 96 and 99 models and they were very good stock for that period..
I haven't driven a new style Cascadia yet, but when I pass one, there is significant electrical interference noticed when I'm listening to AM talk radio.hidden1 Thanks this. -
All the newer trucks ive been in come standard with a Blue tooth capable stereo, hands free phone capable, aux input, SXM capable, and will read mp3 formatted CDs (the kind that will fit a 10+ hour audio book on a single disc) in addition to traditional CDs.
