or a desire to get the job done....and make money.
I'm neither foolish nor scared and definetly NOT ####y.
I just think we could have crossed those mountains safely...in a slow and deliberate manner.
Come'on....what's up with this pussification of America? I never thought I would see so many big, bad truckers afraid of a little snow.
Or maybe some are just too lazy to chain up and work hard. -
I don't get paid to chain either. Sort of indirectly though, because I got the load there timely and am available for the next load compared to the driver who is still sitting back there playing Headshot waiting for Spring. Make it easy on yourself, should take no longer than 5 minutes per tire to chain up, rain pants, knee pads, rubberized insulated gloves, done and down the road.
Boogers and lonewolf4ad Thank this. -
One word...casino.

The general consensus is that those of us from the West, having grown up with chains, do it without issue. But drivers from the East, not being required to chain...don't see the need and will wait out the chain law. It really isn't a big deal either way....if a driver isn't comfortable driving in those conditions, there is no good reason to force them to drive when they aren't comfortable. Actually, that would make it just more dangerous if they were forced to do something they don't like!lonewolf4ad, ac120 and Boogers Thank this. -

On second thought, if I was stuck in Reno I'd find a Craps game 7 11 Pass Line on the Come Out Roll all night long baby, Let It Ride daddy needs a new pair of shoes.
Lovely couple get married in the Biggest Little City. One present happens to be a $5 red casino chip. Groom wakes up about midnight and decides to go down to the floor and play it on the the red 5 roulette table. 5 hits, now he's got $175. Lets it ride, hits again now $6125 bucks. Wants to let it ride but casino says $500 limit. So he goes down the street to Harrah's and they accept the red 5 bet, hits again now he's got $214,375. Let's it ride, but casino manager says $100k limit. MGM Grand sends a jet for the guy to come play high roller. puts it all on red 5, hits and now has $7,503,125. Puts it all on red 5 again but double ought green comes up. Wife asks him how much he lost-- 'oh, $5 bucks'.Last edited: Mar 3, 2012
