Carry 2 foot by 3 foot mats to place under drive tires......try to rock out in 5th gear, not granny gear.....carry 40 inch piece of chain to wrap around drive tire, thread thru spokes.....any other thoughts?

I carry a bucket of rock salt and a shovel in the winter.

Those mats will be spit right out if the tire even grabs at all.

    Kitty litter.

Also if you're parking on ice don't forget to rock your truck once an hour or so. Keeps you from freezing to the spot.

That's best case, but some of these shippers/receivers and even some truck stops don't give a rip about cleaning their lots all that well.

I keep chicken grit with me. Doesn't absorb moisture like kitty litter will.

Dump some grit in front of the drives and put carpet squares on top of the grit. It will usually suck the carpet under the tire along with some grit. It's got me out a few times.
