I've heard Scheider is good but I think Chinatown would know better.

 

Schneider tanker would be a good choice. He posted in Refrigerated Forum, so I assumed he is only interested in reefer companies.

 

I've got a few more weeks before I start my training at Sage. Do you know if Schneider tanker has regional or dedicated routes?

 

Majority of tanker work is dedicated. Call and ask about it. Tanker work is easy money.

 

The reasons most tanker work is dedicated, is most customers don't want to chance contamination of their product with another product some other company shipped. Plus it's expensive for tanker washout, gasket changes, etc for a different chemical. That's one of the reasons the money is good. You deliver a load of chemicals & then deadhead right back to your home terminal. Same pay both loaded & empty. More hometime also by doing this. No sitting in truckstops waiting for your dispatcher to find a load. I hauled loads from the East Coast to CA, WA, OR, Las Vegas, Phoenix, etc. unload in about an hour, then deadhead back to the East Coast.
