Sugar is the intimate friend of cancer
A clear relationship between sugar and cancer leads scientists to two conclusions. One of these conclusions is that the use of sugar contributes to cancer

2.2 lbs to a kilogram - so most people consume their body weight in sugar annually.

We did the keto for a while - it’s not bad.

Oh, oh, and I put sugar on marshmallows:eek:. I'll repeat to y'all what I told the cashier at Wallymart,,"I'm going to be 70 this winter, I've been eating this crap all my life, so go figure",,,my grandmother worked in the candy dept. at Boston Store, as a kid, always had candy, then my ex-MIL, worked in the candy dept. at Sears, again, ALWAYS had candy.( Their double coated chocolate peanuts, arrrggghhhh) My kids grew up with candy. She would get leftover candy for pennies on the dollar, usually after Easter, and we called her spare room , "The Warehouse".
Now look, Chinatowns advice, may be helpful, but the healthcare system is not a one size fits all. I can eat a bag of jellybeans with no effect, while someone may puke eating 1. It's why healthcare diagnosis is so difficult, we are NOT all the same. Aside from half my teeth missing, I see nothing wrong with a LITTLE sugar. You can't help it, like salt, it is in so many products, you'd never know.
As far as sugar being poison, that's a bit of a stretch, it's not laced with anthrax, but on my last ER visit, the doc wanted to know if I smoke tobacco, no, do I drink alcohol, not a drop, then I said, well I do smoke a little weed now and then:eek:, you know what he said? We in the healthcare community have determined sugar is much worse than weed. With all the sugar I consume, they told me 5 years ago I may be "pre-diabetic". and on that last ER visit, my blood sugar was only slightly elevated, what happened to the "pre-diabetic" schmaltz? So there is some merit to Chinatowns advice, but be advised, it's not gospel, and someone, like my MIL can smoke cigarettes all her life and lived to be 96, other, like my sister, die at 40. It's a giant crap shoot, my mentor George Carlin would have said, and healthcare is making a fortune off us. TEN DASH FOUR!.

Farm chemicals and synthetics are the main causes of cancer.

Our hummingbirds sure do love it. Wife stays busy making "nectar" daily for the 4 feeders we have on the porches. We got so many they consume a pound of sugar every day.

No, we're born with bad backs, cancer is something we, or our parents, did to ourselves, whether we knew it or not.

From what I’ve read. The amounts of sugar and especially High fructose corn syrup in today’s processed food is the culprit. Combined with removing most fiber, to prolong shelf life. Fiber helps process sugars. The added high fructose corn syrup and/or sugars, along with other artificial flavorings makes it taste good. Unfortunately it also causes fatty liver disease, bad sticky type cholesterol, which is the real cause of arteries clogging, and diabetes. High fructose corn syrup also bypasses the bodies “full” signal encouraging over eating. It literally makes the arteries turn brown and crispy looking. Added sugar is in just about everything processed. The FDA used studies on high fructose corn syrup that were only half way done. Took that info to endorse High fructose corn syrup as equivalent to sugar. Making food processing cheaper, at a time of high inflation (1970’s). Same time they shifted the public’s focus to fat and cholesterol as the main culprit of increasing heart disease. It’s all about money. The FDA goal is to increase production and profits from food production, while keeping prices low. Food exports are a major source of income for the US. They’ll never admit it. To do so would hurt exports, and expose their bias. Instead they approve new drugs to lower cholesterol, make arteries pliable, lower BP, increase circulation and fight diabetes. Yes recent research shows evidence of sugar feeding at least some forms of cancer. More profit. Win Win.

I use local honey for my oatmeal, like it much better than sugar. At times use honey as well on my peanut butter sandwiches…..
