want to know how you all feel about sun visors on exterior of truck. Do you think they're worth it? Do they really help in shielding sun? Also do they help shielding ran? I'm primarily interested in if they help shield rain when it's a really heavy downpour like sheets of rain. Thanks

    Yes worth it.

I drive a western star that has one installed after I suggested it because the company's customers are east of this company and it would be great it would be great to have something for that sunny sun.

So the owner of the company was so happy when he got it installed on the truck, he made a bug deal over it, even told the customers that it was installed.

    But ...

They got the local chrome place to install it, they did it so it is Completely out of the line of sight, not worth a ####.

They are a head ache make it hard to see stop lights but if you have a shiny hood you can use the reflection to see the lights

I like a standard visor. It works great for sun but I don't think they do a thing for rain. Maybe if you are sitting still but if you're going down the road the rain is pretty much hitting the truck horizontal.

What I can't stand is those big crome visors that block half the windshield. People think they look cool but you can't see.

Im not a floor rider but I think thats how they can see when running drop visors. I will be looking at a used Pete here in a couple weeks with a drop visor and depending on how far it drops its ether getting traided for a factory one or one with less drop if they make one.

Yep, most of them have the seat on the floor, visor way down, and a shifter almost to the ceiling. I bought a used 379 Pete with one of those big visors. I couldn't see a thing and swapped it with a factory visor. With my long legs I have to keep the seat aired up pretty high to have enough legroom, even with the seat all the way back. I couldn't see well enough to drive safely.
