I was expecting the same. What do they make these things out of? Helium? The frame rails are a significant weight, and for that length do they have to be doubled in places to fight sag? My company truck is particularly heavy thanks to International using steel for the flat top sleeper with fiberglass only as the topper I think.

    LoSt_AgAiN and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Depends on trailer. My stretch flat is 17,000 lbs - and I’m 42,500 lbs empty with that.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

So my 53’ flat is 10.000 lbs - therefore with that, I can load almost 45k.

That would make the bus about 25k full of fuel and bobtail.

So - in my mind, you have to have an accurate weight of the trailer you’re intending to pull, weight of freight expected - and then consider the weight of the bus - bobtail - before pulling triggers.

    Sound logical?

    Logical? In this business.
My truck weighs around 24k with fuel and water, I have a heavy trailer.

    blairandgretchen and Big_D409 Thank this.
