Yes. The hay hauler. Super T tractor looked like it was fileted down the middle. Clean-up crew cut the front of the trailer off and unloaded it through the nose. The interstate was closed for about 3 hrs till they could get it moved off to the right side.
I don't know if there were any fatalities. No life flights, just ambulance. Not sure if any cars were involved, but I'm guessing maybe since there was 1 roll back.

this is what my friend stated about the accident

Hmm, I don't suppose it's possible that one of them was racing to get to the front of the left lane before they got to the construction zone, because I've never seen professional truckers do anything like that. Can't quite figure out what to make of those skid marks though.

Wait, the skid marks might belong to the lowboy hauling equipment in the top picture. So now I'm wondering where everyone went from the top picture to the bottom picture, and why your friend wasn't one of them. We need more information. In fact, we really need video of the actual collision!

News report stated that the hay hauler had slowed down quickly because of traffic ahead, and Super T driver, who was behind the hay hauler, did not slow down and ran into the hay trailer. The Super T driver did not survive.

Pictures in the news report showed nothing left of the Super T tractor.

That would explain why they cut into the head of the Super T trailer to unload it-because it was a mess anyway!:(

Did the fifth wheel bolts shear off and slide forward in the crash causing the trailer to over ride the cab on the Super T? The hay and the flat bed trailer looks like no damage. We need the hay bad right now glad it wasn’t harmed.

    Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.
