I guess we all got bits and pieces right and wrong. I got in contact with one of my buddies working there, and it is in fact a ACME distribution center, and not SuperValu. Albertsons bought out ACME from SuperValue in 2013, and is now completely seperate from them. Why they havn't changed the name on the building and on all of their trailers is still a mystery. I think they have certain amount of years to so.

pretty much it is the same POS no matter the name
-
Not if you drive for them. Making about 80k a year working about 10 hours a day seems like a sweet deal to me.
-
Been there three times in the last couple months. Been in & out in under two hours

Make sure you don't hit any of the Amish buggies with the orange triangles on the back. That part of town is Amish country.

These guys are morons. 6am appt, but the guards will only let you in at 7am.
They have a habit of forgeting that you exist, so a 30min nap will turn into a 5hr nap.
30min wait just to get checked in. 4hr unload for 4 pallets. When you hand them the paperwork, the clerk is going to tell you to wait behind the line AGAIN for 30min for the lumper. Lumper tells you a price, so you walk back to the truck, get a check, walk back inside and wait 30min again to hand the check. Wait another 30min for the paperwork.
I know it doesnt make sense..passingthru69 Thanks this. -
For 4 pallets, I would have pulled it off myself as long as it was a straight pull and I think @ SuperValu it is.

Forget about the lumper service in that place getting you in & out .... it's every bit as slow as when I first delivered there 16 years ago. That time I sat in the dock for 3 hours waiting for them just to start unloading. I walk inside and they are goofing off kicking a soccer ball around. Of course when I got on them telling them to get the #### off my trailer they forget to speak English. But then if you try to unload yourself they'll screw you around. Personally I blame the entire trucking industry, especially the mega carriers, for being too spineless to get after these warehouses for detaining us and costing us money.
