Negative. The only thing on my dash is the Tablet.

Okay,, call RM Support they have a program they run to reset the GPS software in the Tablet. Ask for Pablo.

The GPS antenna is on the back of the Tablet with the Slice amplifying the GPS signal. Try plugging the USB power into the Tablet and see if it corrects the issue. If it does ask RM Support for a new slice.

    Thanks,
    Mark

For everyone having cord issues, I recommend a 12V 2.1A USB adapter with the Amazon Basics mini usb to usb cable. I went through several cords, including a replacement official rand McNally cable. None have lasted me nearly as long as the Amazon Basics one.

Will this be a large file for the 520/720? In other words, do I need to make a trip to our friends' house again, to use their cable internet?

Just downloaded the map update for my 730.
    Won't install.
Says "not enough space on your device".
    Now what?

    Update:

I cleared history and now it works.

I have heard of this and what I think is happening is that the Dock is trying to do a Copy/Replace instead of deleting the existing Maps. I see this if I try to copy a complete NaviMaps folder onto a x30 model manually. I usually have to delete the DCA's first to create room.

You may have other user files such as Address Book that may be big also.

    I will let RM know.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I just can't believe in this day and age that these units don't have enough storage to handle a few Gb of data , just shows u how cheap these units are made.

In any storage device, you have to have enough storage left over to delete the same amount of files. For example, if I have an 8GB SD card with 5 GB on it and I want to copy/replace 5GB on it, it will tell me I do not have enough space available.. This is not an RM issue, it is the standard. Just like a Mac will put the files in the .trash folder, but will not delete them, but will retain the space.

    Thanks,
    Mark
