Suppport Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products.

My 700 has stopped working. Itis a refurbished unit.While. using it displayed media error then quit working totally Now will not power on at all

 

Just want to give you some encouragement...I have a refurbed 500, and Mark was very...no, extremely helpful in getting it working again. He knows what he's talking about. And you won't find a less-knowledgable, more easily frustrated techno-know-nothing than me! Good luck!

 

mark are they coming out with a new unit to replace the 710....? pilot is selling the 710 for cheap $299

 

Mark.my 700 was purchased 2 years ago this month then six months after that replaced power cord then had to buy updated memory card.I asked for a angled cord.but was sent a straight one.that was the last I spoke with Rand

 

Any idea when a map update is going to come out for the 510 series? I'm running into lots of places for some reason that arn't even mapped (OKC comes to mind with I-40, few areas in Lousiana. Also I just had the strangest routing to leave this truckstop.........

Mark, New software version on GPS as well as dock. Tried in both Windows and on MAc and get the same issue. Will only load 45-50 POI's out of 199. When I load them and reboot the GPS it says 199 files loaded but only 45-50 of them show up.

 

Does anyone know how many amps the TND 710 draws under normal use? I'm trying to add up the load of all my accessories (eg satellite radio, refrigerator, etc). Also, do you purchase lifetime maps for the 710 through an online download only? I see they sell a card, but I guess that is just for the 500/700. Anyone who has purchased the traffic receiver, have you found it useful? Thanks
