Is there something im supposed to do in order to have the LIFETIME UPDATES.... I bought mine in that time frame, but I just noticed today after connecting for updates that it says im not getting lifetime updates.. Please advise.. Thanks....also been getting random error messages on my screen during navigation that I have to reset the device in order to get rid of...
I have the TND 720 -
What error messages are you getting?
Thanks,

I'm looking into buying this but, how come there's no free lifetime map updates? I have to pay for these map updates $90/yr?
Help! -
This has been corrected in the mapset. It probably will not show up on this next map update, but the one after that.
Thanks,

Is this product worth buying? I want a gps because I need to have audible directions. Yes I've trip planned it out in the Atlas, but the Atlas doesn't show lane splits or account for confusing signs.
This morning I needed to get to a receiver and I passed the street like 5 times because it was such a small street and really it wasnt a street, it was a driveway that was small. Will Rand McNally be helpful in this case here or should I look for another truck gps? Currently I'm using the Qualcomm gps and that sucker just isn't very good at all. I have the cash, I just want to see results from the money I put down. Yes I expect RM to know their product because they made the frickin map book! Why is it so hard for them to recreate a digital map with such parameters. Yes, I know its only a tool and its bound to fail but it should have basic things like showing streets and such. Why wasn't that implemented?
Also does this GPS have a feature to customize your trip plan? What I mean is to
pick between interstates/US hwys/State routes/tolls and such? Yes I'm looking at the TND 720 to buy but unsure if it will be worth dropping the money. Obviously I don't expect this to work in New York.I dislike driving through the cities of NY, but thats another story. I'm looking at buying this in the next 10 hours or so. -
no, a GPS is NOT a replacement for personal navigation.
I still right the directions on my windshield with a dry erase marker sometimes and wipe it off as I make the turns. Especially going into shippers/receivers.
