Also make sure to tie the cord to the mount to stop the vibration on the connection

510 was not the model that had the issue. Do as suggested by Silver Shadow.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Reminder,,, MATS (Mid America Truck Show) is next week. I will be there on Thursday/Friday/Saturday. If you are there and have an issue with your TND, bring it in with you. Walking up to the booth and telling me about it will not fix it. I will ask if you have it with you. You will say it is in the truck or at home. I will ask you to go to your truck to get it. So, save the double trip.. Bring it in the first time. :yes2557:

RM is in the West Wing. Towards the front entrance of the wing.

If you have an issue with your Laptop and the Dock, bring your Laptop in with the power cord. I will look at it.

    Thanks,
    Mark

My TND 720 just went crazy yesterday with all kinds of colorful vertical lines/bars and even gave off a loud alarm tone Twice) before going black. Has anyone else run into this with the 720? Suggestions?

Sometimes this is because it is plugged in and turned on when you start the truck. There is an electrical surge on some charging circuits.

Hit the reset button and see if it is still acting up.

Be aware certain area's around Military bases will do this to your GPS. We had one area in MD that did this all the time to one of our testers units. Pass that are and it behaved again.

But, if it is still doing this in a different area and reset call Rand Support.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Great thoughts. I usually try to leave any electronics unplugged till the truck is running for a few minutes to stabilize the electronics on the truck. Then I would plug in my electronics.

    Thanks,
