I'm working on my CDP right now, and I am to call my recruiter when I finish. What kind of pay should I expect, as in, what did you get paid when you started? Please use the poll, but only if you started with SWIFT in the past 8 years. Thanks!
I hope I'm not breaking any rules, here. Poll SHOULD be anonymous.
PS, I plan on doing TEAM with a co-worker of mine. We are both leaving our Walmart.

You'll be making peanuts @ swift, 1st year is a feel out year more or less

You don't need a poll.
Just ask Swift what the starting pay is to get an accurate amount.
It is posted on their website.
How much per week will depend on how far you drive.
After all, it is paid by the mile.
When I went solo it was .25 per mile.A21CAV and road_runner Thank this. -

That's like asking how many hours a average person works at Walmart. It depends how busy your location is. 1500-2000 miles/week is a good starting point. Anything less and you might as well take up permanent residence inside the truck.

Sometimes 3000 or more in a week, sometimes 1500 or even less.
In other words, there really is no average if you are OTR. -
Hazmat teams get good miles, non-hazmat is hit or miss. At 5000 miles you'd make $800 per week, $960 for 6000 miles. Not worth it IMO but I can't sleep in a moving truck so I'm biased.
