Swift or Con-Way TL?

ive heard nothing but bad things about swift Im going with conway myself have ortination next monday..but hey im just a rookie

 

I'm a bit prejudiced, I'd say Con-way, but that's just me.
Your going to hear good and bad about both, take it all with a grain of proverbial salt.
Look at all the facts, there are a mess of Con-way threads on here.
Con-way has a lot to offer, especially if taking the school route.
Crowder College in Neosho Mo, IMHO, the best.

Con-way only hires the best and treats their folks very well. You should feel honored making it on their team. I'd accept their offer as soon as possible!

 

Your question is akin to asking who was the better quarterback between Joe Montana and Ryan Leaf.

Swift takes anyone with a pulse. Conway is far more discriminating.

I've heard nothing but praise from current and former Conway drivers.

Swift on the other hand has one of, if not the worst rep among all truckload carriers. I've seen first hand more incompetent Swift drivers than from any other company.

If Conway is offering you a job, don't hesitate another second. Jump on it.

 

I drove for Con-Way TL for almost 2 years. They're a good company and they don't micro manage you either. They are strict about their idle policy, not as strict as others, but strict enough that I had a problem with them, which is why I left. The other issue, which is minor, is that they're forced dispatch.

With that all said, I'd go CW all day long before Swift. Go CW and don't look back. It's hard to find a better large carrier.
