Swift School In San Antoino, Tx

I dont drive for them yet, but I will be going to Swift's Truck Driving school on August 6th in San Antonio...I'm pretty excited about doing this...I've been all over the place researching the company and researching truck driving in general so I can have a true perception of what to expect, what not to expect, and what to do and what not to do....

 

if you have done all this research, why Swift? I am not saying it is a bad decision because I have not worked for them, it is just when I was deciding which company to start with, I too done my research, and that is why I did not go with swift. too many negatives. Where did you go to find anything positive about this company? true you dont have to pay for school, but you do have to sign your life away to them, and the pay is like .26 per mile. If that is your only choice, good luck to you, but if there are other options, check them out. Schneider would be a descent choice imho and be closer to you. jmo good luck to you

 

I understand what u ARE SAYING ABOUT THE .26 BUT IT GOES UP EVERY 3MTHS TOPPING AT .33 BY END OF FIRST YEAR. I KEEP HEARING ITS A STARTER COMPANY. EXPERIENCE IS THE MAIN REASON FOR GETTING STARTED...IF YOU KNOW OF ANY BETTER SCHOOLS FOR CDL TRAINING PLEASE LET ME KNOW I AM DUE TO START MY TRAINING IN JULY.

 

I took the Swift CDL school in Millington TN. because it was within 2 miles of where I live. I am now out with a trainer. I have done 7 of 46 days. So far so good! I did an extra week in school backing, but passed my state CDL test first time. I will keep the forum posted!
