I second that idea. Don't know if it was the same for you , but my mentor class was 6-8hrs long and basically "how not to get sued." And a few ruels.

Yep. Supposed to be a two day class, but condensed to one day. At no time was there much of any discussion about HOW to teach. I pretty much developed my own curriculum and strategies by myself.

Exactly the same then. I have done the same, and further examining what I do by instinct and teaching it, made me a far better driver.

A lot of Swift trucks don't have trolley valves. Swift intentionally optioned trucks for a long time without them just to prevent the accidents you described.

You know it is Swift. Their could be a dozen reasons this driver had for what happened. Not a single one of them would be good excuses.

FerrissWheel, Lepton1 and windsmith Thank this.

Honestly, I don't know for sure. I think I went down it once around 2am when I was dead tired and had only been driving for 3 months. But I can't be sure, as there are many, many steep hills in PA...
