Started out this morning doing pre trip and noticed my front hazard/flashers dont work. Checked bulbs/fuses. All other lights work. Called road service, delivered one of stops nearby and they sent me to T/A
    "They'll fix it"I was told.
Tech at T/A checked it out and couldnt find problem. Now theyre trying to find KW dealer nearby to take a look at it. Im due to be home next week for home time. Hoping this POS is fixed before then.
More I drive this thing the more I hate it.

Did you check or try a different flasher, could be defective?

The blinkers are working on rear and trailer? Just not on the front? That would make me think the connector or ground for the front have become compromised.

    Cottonmouth85 and AModelCat Thank this.

Did you try shaking the pigtail? It might need to be replaced.

Somtimes the pigtail connection gets worn out over time due to constant connect and disconnect from trailers.

Forgive my ignorance but what does the pigtail have to do with the flashers on the front of the rig?

I've had it happen to me plenty of times. Flashers would work properly and as soon as I connected to a trailer, flashers or turn signals wouldn't work on the tractor.

Usually when this happens, I normally take it to the shop and have the pigtail replaced, it almost always solves the problem.

I'm no mechanic, and I couldn't tell you why a worn out pigtail affects the tractor lights, but usually if it isn't the relay, it's probably the pigtail that's causing the problem.

Could it be a grounding issue?

Probably. I never really asked the mechanic why it does that. It's one of those things where you have a problem and you automatically know what the solution is.

I've also seen this happen when the connection is so worn out, that the pigtail tends to drag down and it'll affect the tractor or trailer lights. That's when you shake the pigtail to see it corrects itself. Sometimes I jam a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the connection to prevent it from moving, or use a bungee cord to lift up the pigtail to prevent it from sagging down. But these are only temporary solutions.
